There’s something about train travels that I’ve always loved. No airport security check-ins and long lines, just hop on the train from A to B. The quiet time to think, to work, and to stay connected while on the go. Staring out of the window as new sceneries are passing by, I felt very excited making this journey to Paris for the Microsoft AI Tour. Thank you to Experts Inside for being such a cool company giving the space to our Microsoft MVPs to speak at Microsoft conferences around the world.
Reserved seating in the front row, wow! This was a great experience to enjoy the keynote with Satya Nadella (CEO of Microsoft) reflecting on the AI journey and what’s coming next. In case you would like to watch the keynote, you can check it out on-demand here with Satya Nadella (CEO), Jared Spataro (Chief Marketing Officer, AI) and Corine de Bilbao (Director of Microsoft France).
It was an incredible experience to deliver a session together with Heather Cook, (Principal Manager, Customer Advocacy Group, Microsoft 365 Engineering) about the importance of “community.” What is a community, and what does it mean to you? We presented about the Microsoft Global Community Initiative (#MGCI), which is a program designed to strengthen the cooperation between Microsoft and Communities around the world. As a Board Member of the MGCI Program, I’m very excited to be involved helping others around the world to make the best use of Microsoft products, steer them to our resources available on the Microsoft Tech Community (videos, blog, events and speaker trainings, etc.) I truly loved this interactive session in the AI Tour Theater, the great fun I had with Heather and connecting with attendees from all over Europe and beyond.
The AI Tour has a massive marketing engine running, to get all the news and updates out there to the world. Here’s a sneak peek “Behind The Scenes” of getting together with the video crew on the show floor in the Microsoft Copilot booth recording the next promo video for the Microsoft AI Tour. Stay tuned!
Working at a remote-first company, means my day-to-day work is from home. As much as I love the productivity and not having to travel into an office every day, I also very much miss being with people for a chat by the coffee machine, or going out for lunch together. Most of my colleagues are daily super busy working at/with customers – so I get to catch up with them only during co-working days or at our quarterly company workshops. Meaning going to events, means YES!!! I get to spend my time with like-minded people in real life! The connections created at in-person events are priceless and valuable, especially the many great friends we meet in the community.
It was fun as always to catch up in-person again with our peers from Microsoft: Henk Boelman (Principal Cloud Advocate), Sherry List (Senior Program Manager), Korey Stegared-Pace (AI Developer Advocate), Amy Kate Boyd (Principal Cloud Advocate), Pierre Roman (Principal Cloud Ops Advocate), Julia Muiruri (Cloud Advocate), Joylynn Kirui (Senior Security Advocate), Heather Cook (Principal Manager), Akosua Boadi-Agyemang (AI Tour Marketing Lead) and many others!
