The Microsoft AI Tour at the Museum of Applied Arts (MAK) in Vienna gathered AI professionals and business leaders for a full day of AI innovation and insights. The event kicked off with a keynote that emphasized AI’s transformative power in modern industries, highlighting how AI is reshaping business processes and fostering innovation.

Throughout the day, participants explored a wide range of topics, including AI use cases, cybersecurity, and workplace transformation, along with a forward-thinking panel on AI innovation.

The sessions on AI implementation in real-world scenarios particularly resonated, illustrating how businesses can successfully transition from AI concepts to practical applications. From improving cybersecurity to revolutionizing work environments, AI’s potential was showcased through presentations and discussions.

The afternoon sessions catered to a more technical audience, delving into AI development tools, strategies for achieving AI goals, and the latest innovations in AI-driven software development. The exploration of AI’s role in data security, modern IT infrastructures, and compliance highlighted the importance of building AI systems with privacy and security in mind.

It's official, the Microsoft Cloud Region Austria is entering the home straight! In the remarkable setting of the MAK, it was announced that the first cloud services will be available from local Austrian data centers by next calendar year. This promises secure data storage and processing within the country, powered by 100% renewable energy from Austria. It marks a significant milestone for Austria’s digital transformation.

The Expo was another major highlight, offering a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make new contacts. Many partners showcased fascinating AI use cases, detailing how they’re incorporating AI into their businesses. Microsoft’s hardware portfolio, featuring advanced AI capabilities, was also on display, and it made a lasting impression. The improved battery life of the latest Snapdragon chip, especially valuable for those frequently on the move, was one standout feature. Qualcomm’s representative underscored the future trajectory of AI hardware.
